About Lissa

Lissa Mel is an Israeli artist, gallerist, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. Her art has been featured at Miami’s prestigious Art Basel and will be showcased at New York's Artexpo April 4-7, 2024. It is also represented at her own Santa Monica-based gallery, The Messengers Art Gallery. Born in Uzbekistan and raised in Israel, Mel spent most of her life in Tel Aviv where her mother encouraged her artistic talents from a young age. In high school, her love for science led her to study physics, chemistry, and biology. But it was her passion for the arts that eventually took center stage and prompted a focus on painting, sculpture, and cinema.
